Terms of Service

1. What this app is

Surakshit Hu is a personal reminder tool, a product of Infinity IT and Management Services - FZCO, registered in the United Arab Emirates. You confirm you are safe by tapping a button on a schedule you choose. If you do not confirm within your chosen window plus a grace period, the app automatically notifies the emergency contacts you provided.

2. Your responsibilities

• You must provide accurate emergency contact information and only add contacts who have agreed to be contacted by you through this app.
• You are responsible for keeping your check-in schedule realistic for your own circumstances. The app cannot detect emergencies on its own — it only detects the absence of your check-in.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use this app.

3. Premium subscription

• Premium is an auto-renewing annual subscription, billed through Google Play (or the Apple App Store, where applicable) at the price shown at time of purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, through your Google Play or App Store account settings — not through the app directly.
• Refunds are handled according to Google Play's / Apple's standard refund policies, not by us directly.
• If a subscription lapses, your account reverts to the Free plan; any emergency contacts beyond the Free plan's limit remain stored but stop receiving alerts until you resubscribe.

4. Service availability

We aim to keep the check-in and alerting system running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for missed alerts caused by factors outside our reasonable control — including but not limited to your device being offline, notification permissions being disabled, third-party service outages (email/SMS/WhatsApp delivery), or incorrect contact information.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any harm arising from reliance on this app to detect or respond to an actual emergency. This app supplements, and never replaces, your own judgment and local emergency services.

6. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service, including providing false emergency contact information or using the app to harass others.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
